Dentons set to launch in Chile

Polycentric global law firm Dentons announced that it will enter into a combination with Larrain Rencoret Urzua, a law firm in Chile.

 

santiadodechileLarrain Rencoret Urzua, based in Santiago (pictured) has 33 lawyers and is best known for its expertise in projects and infrastructure, banking and finance as well as M&A. It is particularly strong in mining and natural resources. 

“This combination in Chile will help us continue to attract even more top talent and top law firms in Latin America and the Caribbean,” said Jorge Alers, CEO of Dentons Latin America and the Caribbean region, in the announcement. 

According to the statement issued by Dentons, Chile has the fifth-largest economy by GDP in Latin America and the Caribbean. 

With this new merger, approved on August 27th, by the Dentons partners, the global law firm will have full coverage of the Pacific Alliance countries (Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico) plus Brazil and Central America.
