Dentons launches guide to digital transition

Global law firm Dentons has launched a new online guide that examines the business and legal challenges of digital transformation across a number of industry sectors and jurisdictions.

 Igor OstrowskiThe guide, entitled Business Going Digital, aims to assist businesses in navigating the complex legal and regulatory obligations that they may encounter as they transform their operations from the traditional, more analogue mode into the digital space.

The guide is available free of charge at www.businessgoing.digital. The website features a collection of articles on various topical issues, written by Dentons lawyers from around the world.

The articles provide guidance on regional and national laws which govern online business, including data protection, e-privacy, consumer rights, intellectual property, competition and antitrust, and employment. They examine the legal implications of emerging technologies and technological advancements, including robotic process automation, autonomous vehicles, blockchain, artificial intelligence and more. These insights aim to help readers avoid costly delays and compliance risks. The site gives the reader the ability to search for articles by topic, sector and region.

“COVID-19 has accelerated the pace of digital transformation and heightened its importance to business, even in those sectors which have been traditionally analogue,” said Igor Ostrowski (pictured), co-head of Dentons’ Technology, Media and Communications group.

The online guide currently covers Asia Pacific, EMEA, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as North America. It includes insights on the automotive, energy, financial institutions, government, infrastructure, manufacturing, real estate and retail sectors. New articles and content for more sectors and regions will be added regularly.

“Business Going Digital” is a follow up to Dentons’ successful publication, “Digital Transformation and the Digital Consumer”, which was launched in 2018.

The new version of the guide expands coverage of different sectors and features a more flexible and agile online format to reflect the accelerated pace of change in the New Dynamic.
