Dias Carneiro advises Cyan on the sale of its stake in Iguá Saneamento

Dias Carneiro advised the Cyan Fundo de Investimento Multimercado Investimento No Exterior – Crédito Privado (Cyan) for the Canadian pension fund

The law firm Dias Carneiro, advised Cyan on the sale of all its direct and indirect stake in Iguá Saneamento S.A. to an investment vehicle of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB).

The divestment of Cyan occurred in the context of CPPIB’s investment for an aggregate 45% interest in Iguá, in partnership with other existing investors, including Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), IG4 Capital Group and BNDES Participações S.A. (BNDESPAR).

By consummation of CPPIB’s investment, in accordance with the terms of a certain investment agreement and the exercise of BNDESPAR’s right of first refusal, an investment of R$596 million was made in Iguá, which included contributions from CPPIB, AIMCo and BNDESPAR.
