Dias Carneiro promotes new partner
Brazilian law firm Dias Carneiro Advogados has promoted its digital law and technology lawyer Vanessa Pareja Lerner to partner, bringing the firm’s total number of partners to 15.
Pareja Lerner (pictured) has been part of the firm since 2013, and she focuses on the technology, data protection, intellectual property, videogame and media and entertainment markets, assisting clients ranging from start-ups to established companies active in various sectors, in issues relating to commercial agreements in general, including the structuring of deals, risk assessment and agreement negotiation.
According to managing partner Ricardo Sanches, the decision to promote Pareja Lerner reinforces the firm’s organic growth policy while strengthening its promising practice areas.
The promotion was effective from 1 January.
Pareja Lerner’s promotion brings the number of partners to 15 after corporate finance lawyers Gustavo Junqueira and Paulo Leme, and anti-trust lawyer Joyce Alves, became part of the partnership in 2018, while the firm also hired Brasil Plural’s general counsel Anna Dutra as corporate and finance partner last March.
Based in São Paulo, Dias Carneiro was founded in 2002 and serves both local and international clients.
