Diaz Reus bolsters tax team in Miami

Diaz Reus & Targ announced that Julio Barbosa and Bruna Barbosa have joined its tax practice group in Miami.

Julio Barbosa is dual qualified in the United States and Brazil and has spent most of his 40-year legal career helping foreign clients do business in the United States. He has extensive experience in international taxation and M&A and joins the firm as partner. 

Bruna Barbosa is admitted to practice law in Florida and focuses on advising individuals and businesses on international inbound and outbound tax issues. She regularly counsels clients on U.S. real estate investments, business organizations, cross-border transactions, pre-immigration tax planning, estate planning, and trusts. Her career includes roles at Volkswagen’s legal department in Germany and in private practice at an international law firm in New York. Both Bruna and Julio practiced law in Miami (pictured) at Barbosa Legal. 

In the announcement, Michael Diaz, Jr., the global managing partner at Diaz Reus, said that “the addition to our tax department of two highly specialized attorneys will considerably reinforce our capacity to meet our clients’ international tax related needs.
