DLA Piper adds two partners in Peru
DLA Piper Peru has hired Erik Lind and Hernán Jordán as new Tax and Disputes partners
DLA Piper Peru added Erik Lind (pictured left) from Deloitte as leader of its Tax and Private Wealth practices, while Hernán Jordán (pictured right) was promoted to co-head the firm’s Disputes area alongside with Guillermo Hesse.
Lind now leads DLA Piper’s Tax practice and new Private Wealth division in Peru, filling the empty seat of Francisco Botto, former Tax lead who passed away last October.
Erik joined the firm after being a partner at Deloitte Legal for a period of six months. Among his previous positions, he was also a partner at Estudio Echecopar, member of the multinational firm of Baker McKenzie.
Managing partner Ricardo Escobar highlighted: “fully convinced that Erik’s experience will be invaluable to our Tax team.”
Hernán Jordán, joined DLA Piper Peru as an associate in 2010 and now leads the Arbitration and Litigation groups with the aim to reinforce them with his experience on disputes cases in the energy, financial and mining sectors.
Escobar said that, as the firm increased its disputes mandates, the addition of Hernán “was the perfect timing to make the strategic decision of appointing a second co-leader,” since Jordán’s performance has contributed to the firm’s success and “He has always been an asset in developing junior talent too.”
With the integration of both Lind and Jordán, the firm now has 13 partners.
