DLA Piper advises Roxom on $4.3m pre-seed financing

DLA Piper Argentina has advised Roxom, a Bitcoin-based trading platform, on the closing of a USD $4.3 million pre-seed financing round.

The capital raised will be used for the development and expansion of the company’s platform, as well as the implementation of new functionalities that will strengthen the integration of Bitcoin in financial trading.

Roxom presents itself as the first exchange that lists and names stocks, commodities and futures in Bitcoin. The platform allows users to query global markets and transact using Bitcoin, rather than traditional fiat currencies.

DLA Piper’s team was led by partner Antonio Arias (pictured left) and included associate Ignacio Bard (pictured right), both based in Buenos Aires.
