DWF launches LatAm group

DWF has announced the launch of its new Latin American (LatAm) Group, which aims to take advantage of market opportunities in the region, enhance client relationships and collaboration on cross-border transactions.

Led by Ignasi Costas (pictured left), managing partner of the group’s Spanish firm, RCD, and Claudio Rodriguez (pictured right), a highly qualified Mexican lawyer with more than 25 years of legal practice in Latin America, the LatAm Group will provide comprehensive legal services specifically tailored to the firm’s Latin American clients.

The LatAm Group is designed to support both international companies looking to enter the Latin American market and Latin American companies looking to expand abroad. DWF will offer expert legal guidance in navigating complex international laws, local regulations and cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and regulatory compliance, while providing specialized legal advice in key areas such as corporate, energy, intellectual property, tax, labor and immigration.

With a network of over 400 highly skilled lawyers with strong expertise in Latin American legal frameworks and business practices, the LatAm Group is well positioned to guide clients through the complexities of the region’s diverse markets.

Ignasi Costas said: “The Latin American region presents a growing market with significant opportunities for investment and business development. With a population of 650 million people and a territory representing 13% of the world’s land, Latin America represents a massive market for legal services. Leveraging our existing relationships and deep understanding of the diverse countries in the region, we see great potential to connect our current global clients with our broader network. This approach not only strengthens our presence in the Latin American market but also provides our existing clients with a robust platform to expand their operations across Latin America.”

Claudio Rodriguez added: “Establishing a LATAM Group will allow us to capitalise on the growing economic opportunities in Latin America. Providing specialised legal services tailored to the needs of the Latin American market will not only attract new clients but also consolidate our position as leaders in international legal advice. The increasing investments from the UK and cultural affinity with Spain reinforce the need for a strategic focus on the region.”
