ECIJA appoints new partner in Colombia
ECIJA Colombia has announced the arrival of Carlos Fernando Gómez Román (pictured) as a new partner in the Tax area.
With an outstanding track record in tax consulting, planning and litigation, Carlos brings a vast experience in tax advice both in corporate acquisitions and reorganisations, as well as in the application of double taxation treaties and international tax planning structures.
He holds a Master’s degree in International Taxation and is a specialist in Tax Law, Economic and Market Law. Carlos has held key roles in renowned firms and companies, including EY, Posse Herrera Ruiz, Baker McKenzie and Kuehne-Nagel. In his last position as Tax Manager of Kuehne-Nagel’s Andean Cluster, he led the tax strategy for Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil and Venezuela. His experience includes tax advisory in sectors such as logistics, private equity, digital economy, pharmaceuticals, hydrocarbons and mining, among others.
