ECIJA appoints new partner in Costa Rica
ECIJA Costa Rica has announced the appointment of Monserrat Soto (pictured) as a new partner of the firm.
Monserrat joined in 2018 as an associate in the Corporate Law area and then in 2021 took over as head of the Intellectual Property area.

She has focused her professional career in Corporate and Transactional Law, being her specialty Legal Project Management, focused on the coordination of teams in regional projects, as well as sophisticated transactions. She has participated in a dozen M&A transactions, in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, insurance, and agrochemicals, most of which were regional in scope.
Monserrat also leads the Intellectual Property practice, which includes a comprehensive, dynamic and fresh approach, not only to ensure robust growth of companies by securing their IP assets, but also to prevent potential infringement and litigation during business development.
With this appointment, Monserrat becomes ECIJA’s seventh partner in Costa Rica.
