ECIJA opens Tax practice in Honduras

ECIJA Honduras has announced the inauguration of its new Tax Law department, led by new manager Eduardo A. Reyes (pictured), to strengthen its services with tax advice, tax claims and corporate tax planning.

Roberto Williams, partner & CFO of ECIJA in Honduras, comments: “We are sure that our clients will have a legal service with greater benefits in and from Honduras, since on the occasion of the substantive and transcendental reforms that the Government is promoting in tax matters, specialized and experienced advice is required, which we will provide through our new Tax Department”.

Eduardo, who joins as Tax Manager, is a lawyer graduated from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana, obtaining at the same University, a Master in Business Management with orientation in Management Skills and a Master in Tax Law, also obtaining a Postgraduate Degree in Civil Procedural Law, Arbitration and Mediation at the University of Salamanca. Eduardo has specialised in providing advice on administrative, tax and fiscal matters to various national and foreign companies. In the aforementioned areas of specialisation, he has acted as advisor to several employers’ organisations, as well as to companies from different sectors: electricity generators, advertising, fuel importers, among others, representing them in verification, auditing, inspection and tax actions carried out by the Tax Administration.

ECIJA, a firm of Spanish origin, started operations in Honduras in June 2018 and has offices in the cities of Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula.
