Carey assisting Enel in a USD6 billion deal

Enel Américas acquires the renewable energy business of Enel Green Power

USD6 billion. 
The operation was structured through a merger of Enel Américas, preceded by a spin-off and a cross-border merger. The deal was approved as a related party transaction and required the elimination of the concentration limits established in the bylaws. With this deal, Enel Américas will consolidate its control and participation in the business and non-conventional renewable energy generation assets that Enel Green Power develops and owns in Central and South América (except Chile). Domingo ValdésMónica Fernández and Josefa Rodríguez for Enel Américas and Joaquín Valcarcel, Enel Green Power, acted as inhouse team.
