Ernesto Borges has partner appointed chair of OAB commission

Federal Counselor Gaya Lehn Schneider (pictured), a partner at Ernesto Borges Advogados, was appointed President of the National Commission on Insurance Law by the President of the Federal Council of the OAB, Beto Simonetti, and by the Vice-President and General Coordinator of the Commissions and Prosecutors of the CFOAB, Felipe Sarmento Cordeiro.

The President of the OAB/MS, Bitto Pereira, congratulated Gaya Schneider on her appointment, highlighting the well-deserved recognition for the work of excellence she carries out at the Federal Council. He also thanked President Beto Simonetti and Vice-President Felipe Sarmento for the prestige granted to the legal profession in the state of Mato Grosso with this appointment, expressing confidence that Gaya will continue to do exemplary work at the head of this important agenda. Gaya Schneider said that her reappointment represents recognition of the good work done in her first term as President of the Commission.

She emphasized her ability to assist the President of the OAB with technical demands related to insurance law and to advise him on these matters.She also highlighted the holding of the first National Seminar on Insurance Law in Brasilia, which fostered legal and technical discussions on insurance contracts.
In addition, she emphasized the return of the commission to the work of the legal profession, with the aim of offering lawyers good opportunities to take out insurance, through the lawyers’ assistance funds, establishing important partnerships for the category.
