Estudio Olaechea promotes Michael Morales as partner
Peruvian law firm Estudio Olaechea has announced the promotion of Michael Morales (pictured) as a new partner in the firm’s Tax practice.
Michael joined Olaechea in 2012. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, a specialisation in International Tax Law from the Universidad Austral de Buenos Aires, and a Master in Teaching for Higher Education from the Universidad Andrés Bello.
He has extensive experience in tax consulting, design of efficient tax structures for businesses (tax planning), advice on major international investment operations in Peru, tax reviews (audits), advice on audits carried out by the Tax Administration, sponsorship in tax proceedings before SUNAT and the Tax Court, among others.
Likewise, he has more than 8 years of experience in teaching courses related to tax matters. He is currently in charge of the Tax Legislation course at the Law School of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).
