Falconi Puig incorporates two new partners

Priscilla Falconi Avellán and Jorge David Uribe Reyes have joined the firm as partners in the Corporate and Tax areas, respectively

 Ecuadorian law firm Falconi Puig Abogados has announced the incorporation of Priscilla Falconi Avellán and Jorge David Uribe Reyes as partners of the firm, to strengthen respectively the corporate and dispute resolution area, as well as the tax and business structuring area.

“We are very pleased to have Priscilla as our partner, her experience and charisma strengthens the team and brings us one step closer to the gender parity we are constantly seeking,” says Carlos Alberto Arroyo del Río, partner of the firm.

Priscilla (pictured) holds a Law Degree from Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil, took negotiation courses at Harvard University, completed undergraduate studies at Cornell University, participated in the Women in Corporate Governance and Senior Management Training Program at IDE Business School, University of the Hemispheres; and is a member of the advisory boards and boards of directors of several companies in Ecuador. Her practice focuses on Corporate, Commercial, Regulatory, Labour and Dispute Resolution matters. She is an expert in negotiation, alternative dispute resolution methods, such as settlement agreements or mediation, as well as in the effective management of shareholder conflicts. As a partner, Priscilla will serve Falconi Puig Abogados’ clients in Guayaquil and Quito, with plans to open offices in Guayaquil in the near future.

Jorge David (pictured) focuses on Tax Law, Business Development, Banking and Finance. He is versed in analysing, planning, structuring and implementing different types of legal transactions for important national, international and multinational companies, giving special relevance to global trends in tax, innovation, cyberspace, startups, fintech, blockchain and international taxation. He holds a PhD in Jurisprudence from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador; a diploma in American and International Law, a specialization in “Legal-Tech and Innovation”, and a Master in Business Law (LLM) from Aden International Business School. He has practiced in renowned business groups such as Deloitte & Touche; Grupo Inca-Pronaca; Grupo Popular; as well as in international consulting firms such as Moore Stephens and Andersen Tax & Legal.
