FBPH welcomes María Paz Castanier and Paola Carrión to lead Cuenca office

Flor Bustamante Pizarro Hurtado has announced that Paola Carrión (pictured left) and María Paz Castanier (pictured right) have joined the firm and will be leading the office in Cuenca, southern Ecuador.

Both are highly regarded attorneys in the local market, with established practices in commercial, labor, constitutional, and tax law.

Maria Paz Castanier is a lawyer and commercial engineer with a strong academic background and extensive experience providing comprehensive legal counsel to companies and individuals. She specializes in labor, corporate, tax, and compliance law, with a strategic approach focused on preventing legal risks, efficiently resolving disputes, and optimizing corporate management.

She holds postgraduate training in Procedural Law and key certifications in personal data protection and regulatory compliance, enabling her to deliver modern, technically sound advice aligned with current legal standards.

Paola Carrión Bravo is a lawyer with experience in constitutional, tax, and administrative law, with a solid track record in the public sector and in independent legal practice.

She served on the Constitutional Court of Ecuador as a constitutional expert in jurisdictional matters. She also has experience at the Office of the Comptroller General of the State and the Ministry of Public Health, working in areas of governmental oversight, disciplinary regimes, and administrative appeals.
