Ferrere and Dentons advise Prosegur Cash on the purchase of Redpagos and Midinero
Ferrere and Dentons Uruguay counselled on Prosegur Cash’s acquisition of Nummi and Findarin from Redpagos and Midinero
Ferrere has advised Prosegur Cash, a subsidiary of Spain’s Prosegur, on the acquisition of all the shares of Nummi S.A. and Findarin S.A., collection and payment services under the Redpagos brand, also dedicated to the issuance and administration of electronic money from Midinero. Dentons Uruguay assisted Nummi and Findarin in the operation.
The transaction was completed on 1 June and was subject to antitrust approvals from the Central Bank of Uruguay, along with other regulatory bodies.
With this acquisition, Prosegur Cash intends to strengthen its position as a provider of integrated cash management solutions, as well as complement its current services offered to its corporate clients in the country.
The company specialises in cash management and cash in transit services, ATM management, transportation of valuable goods, among others. It currently has a presence in 20 countries in continents such as America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
Redpagos has been in the market for more than 20 years, offering a network of more than 460 branches in Uruguay where it offers its services to more than one million customers.
