Ferrere represents Renovables del Sur and del Este in refinancing

Ferrere Uruguay has counselled Renovables del Sur and Renovables del Este on refinancing of credit line

 Ferrere, through its Uruguay team, has represented Renovables del Sur S.A. and Renovables del Este S.A. in the refinancing of the credit facility previously obtained in 2013, with the aim of developing, constructing, operating and maintaining two wind farms in the departments of Maldonado and Lavalleja.

This financing consists of a long-term credit facility and a debt service reserve facility.

The advisory included negotiation of the cancellation of the guarantee in place at that time under the existing financing, negotiation of the local security documents and structuring of the refinancing, review of the documents (under Spanish and New York law), drafting and negotiation of matters governed by Uruguayan law under the financing documents.

Each wind project involves 50 MW of nominal installed capacity, comprising 25 wind turbines of 2 MW each. The projects also involve the infrastructure necessary to connect the facilities to a high-voltage power line (owned by UTE).
