Fogo de Chão instructs Davis Polk on acquisition by Rhône

Davis Polk advised steakhouse Fogo de Chão on its $560 million acquisition by Rhône Capital.

 

Fogo de Chão is a Brazilian steakhouse chain with operations in Brazil, the US, Mexico and the Middle East. 

The buyer, Rhône, is a global alternative investment management firm with approximately $5.5 billion in assets under management.

The Davis Polk team advising Fogo de Chão included partners John H. Butler, Richard D. Truesdell Jr, Michael Mollerus, Kyoko Takahashi Lin and Joseph P. Hadley, all based in New York.

Rhône instructed Sullivan & Cromwell, with a team led by partners Richard Pollack and Neal McKnight. The company retained Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados as Brazilian counsel.
