Freitas Ferraz advises Hengtong on Cabelauto deal
Freitas Ferraz advised NP Soluções em Comunicações e Energia, a wholly owned subsidiary of China’s Hengtong Group — one of the world’s largest manufacturers of optical fiber communication solutions — has completed the acquisition of 100% of the equity interest in Cabelauto Condutores Elétricos, a Brazilian manufacturer of electrical conductors, cables and connectivity solutions for the telecommunications and energy sectors. The seller was Credimódulo Empreendimentos e Participações, a company belonging to the Plasinco Group. The deal price was not disclosed.
The transaction gives Hengtong Group, through its Brazilian subsidiary, full ownership of Cabelauto Condutores Elétricos, expanding its footprint in Brazil’s telecommunications and energy infrastructure supply chain. The acquisition strengthens Hengtong’s manufacturing capabilities in the country, adding electrical conductors and connectivity solutions to its existing optical fiber portfolio.
