García & Bodán has advised Scala Higher Education Group on its expansion to provide services to Central American universities

 García & Bodán has advised Scala Higher Education Group on the legal, corporate and tax structure to provide its services to universities in Central America, as part of its expansion plans in Latin America.

Scala Higher Education Group is a Mexican company that helps universities to venture into the virtual world with quality and innovation to increase access to higher education for hundreds of thousands of people.

Currently, Scala has offices in Mexico, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Argentina, El Salvador and Guatemala within the Latin American market, with worldwide alliances, agreements and contracts with Higher Education Institutions, which enhance its experience and actions with new allies.

García & Bodán’s team was led by regional managing partner Terencio García (pictured left), assisted by partner from the Nicaragua office, Melvin Estrada (pictured top middle), as well as senior associate David Claros (pictured bottom middle) from El Salvador, and, from the Guatemalan office, senior associate Andrés Cofiño (pictured top right) and associate Paúl Rodríguez (pictured bottom right).
