García & Bodán instructed on IC Power´s acquisition of electricity distributors in Guatemala
The Guatemala office of García & Bodán advised IC Power in the acquisition of the holding company which controls two Guatemalan utility companies: Distribuidora de Electricidad de Oriente and Distribuidora de Electricidad de Occidente
The deal, valued at approximately $500 million, gives Israel-headquartered IC Power majority shareholder control over two utilities which account for over 70% of the distribution of electricity in Guatemala.
