García & Bodán opens Costa Rica office

García & Bodán has opened an office in Costa Rica, its eighth in Central America, as part of its growth strategy in the region.

San José was chosen as the location as the country’s capital and because it has easy access to three important provinces, Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago, which together with San José make up what is known as the greater metropolitan area, the law firm said

“The Costa Rica market is sophisticated and specialised, with first-world standards due to the high level of  foreign investment that has permeated the Costa Rican economy in recent decades. The regional offices of many of the most important companies in the Central American market, as well as shared services of companies at a global level, are located in Costa Rica,” managing partner in Costa Rica, Christian Díaz, said.

With its eighth office, García & Bodán aims to consolidate its regional operations in a more structured way, from both the point of view of services and professional excellence, strengthen regional marketing and serve current and potential clients in all the region’s jurisdictions, the law firm said.
