Garrigues appoints 2 new partners in LatAm
Garrigues has announced the promotion of 18 new partners, with effect from 1 January 2025, appointments that were approved at the Partners’ Meeting.
In Latin America, Eduardo Tirado Díaz-Muñoz, in the Santiago de Chile office, and Héctor Zegarra Ortega in the Lima office, both in the Corporate and M&A areas, were promoted.
Eduardo (pictured left) focuses his practice on corporate and real estate advisory services to companies in different areas (construction, real estate, retail, telecommunications, investments, investment funds, etc.); participation in acquisition and sale processes of companies; permanent advice to management and development teams and administration of companies in different areas. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Business Law, both from the Universidad de Los Andes (Santiago, Chile). In the academic field, he teaches various undergraduate and postgraduate courses on subjects related to real estate practice, commercial and civil law.
Héctor (pictured right) has more than fifteen years of experience in advising on all types of corporate transactions, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions, financing and, in general, commercial contracts and corporate law. He is a graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds a postgraduate degree in Telecommunications Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
The new appointments are spread across four different practice areas and G-advisory, the group’s strategic energy and ESG consulting arm, and across 10 offices in 4 countries, demonstrating the firm’s diversification in terms of both specialism and region.
