Garrigues hires new partner for Chile

Law firm Garrigues has brought Jaime de Larraechea Carvajal on board as partner at its Santiago office, reinforcing its financial, corporate and M&A practice in the South American country.

Jaime LaerrecheaJaime de Larraechea (pictured) is a leading Chilean lawyer specialising in corporate and financial matters and M&A deals. He joins Garrigues from law firm Cruzat, Vicuña, de Larraechea Abogados, where he has spent the last three years as partner. Prior to that, he practiced at Barros & Errázuriz for ten years.

According to Javier Ybáñez, the partner in charge of Garrigues’ Latin American practice, “this new hire bolsters the excellent team of partners at our office in Chile, particularly in Jaime’s areas of expertise, where Garrigues has shown great strength in Chile and in Latin America”.

With this hiring, Garrigues continues to consolidate its presence in the region, where it also has offices in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
