Garrigues makes three new partners in Latin America

Garrigues announced 12 new equity partners, half of them outside of Spain. 

The global round of promotions included two new partners in Bogota and one in Mexico City.

Roberto Borrás and Camilo Zarama are the new equity partners in Colombia. Borrás, formerly of counsel at the law firm, currently leads the banking and finance practice. He joined Garrigues in 2015 and his career includes roles as Financial Superintendent of Colombia, Director General of the Financial Compliance Unit of the Colombian Ministry of Finance and Public Debt, and Chairman of the Colombian Securities Market Self-Regulatory Body. Zarama heads the tax practice in Colombia and has spent the majority of his career at Garrigues, first at the Madrid office and for the last four years in Colombia. Zarama was a local Colombian partner and has over over thirteen years’ experience in tax matters.

Formerly a local partner in Mexico City, Gabriela Pérez joins the ranks of equity partners worldwide. Perez has more than ten years of experience advising Mexican and international clients on M&A and financing transactions.

With this new round of promotions, the law firm is now home to almost 300 partners globally.
