Garrigues reinforces corporate M&A practice with new partner appointment

Garrigues has announced the incorporation of Andrés Crump (pictured) as a partner in its Bogotá office, further reinforcing its Corporate/M&A practice in Colombia. His appointment, which is set to be ratified at the next Garrigues partners’ meeting, marks a strategic step in consolidating the firm’s position in high-end transactional work in the region.

Crump brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate and M&A law and is widely recognized for his role in advising on some of the most significant transactions in Colombia and across Latin America. His cross-border expertise spans Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Peru, with a strong focus on the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Crump holds a master’s degree in Law from Columbia University (New York) and a master’s degree in Finance from the Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá), the institution where he also earned his law degree.
Throughout his career, Crump has advised on a wide range of matters, including private deals, public sector-driven privatization processes, and transactions in open markets. His track record includes the acquisition of shares and public offerings totaling over USD 20 billion in aggregate value.

His arrival is expected to give a major boost to Garrigues’ M&A capabilities in Colombia, a key market in the firm’s Latin American strategy.
