GC on MX$1bn credit facility for HIR Casa and IFC

Gonzalez Calvillo has advised HIR Casa (Bienes Programados), through Banco Invex as trustee and as borrower, in the structuring and implementation of a MXP$1 billion structured credit facility entered into with International Finance Corporation (IFC), as lender.

This transaction commenced in March and was completed on 20 September, and involved the jurisdictions of Mexico and the US (New York). Galicia Abogados acted as counsel to the IFC.

With this transaction, HIR Casa and IFC will introduce a new product that will seek to promote real estate financing and mortgages for Mexican women. This adds to HIR Casa’s efforts to promote the financial and asset development of women, committed to specific actions to support the reduction of the gender disparity of opportunities that exists in the region.

This operation also reiterated the banks’ confidence in HIR Casa, a non-bank financial institution (NBFI), now from an international institution that is a member of the World Bank Group.

Banco Invex acted as trustee of the vehicle that contracted the loan, HIR Casa acted as Primary Manager and Administradora de Activos Financieros (ACFIN) acted as Master Servicer.

Arturo Garduño and Alejandro Alatriste acted as in-house counsels to HIR Casa.

GC’s team was led by partner Bernardo Reyes Retana (pictured left), with the support of senior managing associate Francisco J. Alvarez Campos (pictured right), and associate Fernando Blanco Gonzalez.
