GC represents Aerocharter in sale of stake to PrimeFlight
Gonzalez Calvillo has represented Aerocharter and its shareholders in the sale of a majority stake to PrimeFlight Aviation Services, marking a strategic partnership for mutual growth.
This transaction closed on 1 February and involved the jurisdictions of Mexico and the US. DLA Piper acted as counsel to PrimeFlight in both Mexico and the US.
The matter was particularly difficult because the structure was negotiated over a long period of time and involved the negotiation and closing of highly complex documents.
Aerocharter is a Mexican company offering services to the airline industry with more than 45 years in the market. PrimeFlight Aviation Services is a portfolio company of The Sterling Group and Capitol Meridian Partners, with more than 20 years of experience in the airline industry.
Eugenio Arnoux Arena acted as in-house counsel to Aerocharter.
DLA Piper’s team in Mexico consisted of partner Álvaro Garza-Galván and associates Andrés Calderón Reta and José Luis Gutiérrez. The US team included partner Alex Plakas and associate Daniel Siegel.
