GC represents GLAS in €1.7bn financing to Capripack

Gonzalez Calvillo has represented GLAS Trust Corporation Limited (GLAS) as collateral agent, on the Mexican law and collateral aspects of a €1.7 billion financing to Capripack HoldCo Ltd.

Macquarie Bank, Crédit Agricole, Mizuho Bank, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs and HPS Investment and other members of the international lenders group acted as lenders.

This transaction was signed on 20 June, with Milbank acting as UK and US co-counsel to the lenders, Greenlake Legal as UK counsel to the borrower, and Sanchez DeVanny as Mexico counsel to the borrower.

The transaction involved a relevant security package under Mexican law and involved certain challenges and complications as it was multi-jurisdictional.
