GMPR Advogados announces that Augusto Corrêa de Sousa (pictured) has joined the firm. With a solid academic background and a career marked by technical excellence and commitment to public service, the new partner will join the team with a focus on strengthening the public law area.
With a PhD in Constitutional Law from the Brazilian Institute for Education, Development and Research (IDP) and a master’s in law and public policy from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Augusto brings to the firm an in-depth view of the role of law in improving public administration and protecting fundamental rights.
With more than two decades’ experience in the Goiás State Public Prosecutor’s Office, where he worked as an advisor to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the lawyer also stands out as a university professor and author of several relevant legal works, in which he focuses on issues of great social impact, such as freedom of expression, judicial control and public policies.
Augusto is also a specialist in Constitutional Law, Compliance and Economic Criminal Law, areas that further enrich the firm’s repertoire.
