Gómez-Pinzón has appointed Ana Cristina Jaramillo as a new partner to reinforce its M&A team
Gómez-Pinzón has named Ana Cristina Jaramillo Cuella as its new Mergers & Acquisitions partner, after previously being associated with the firm for more than 7 years.
Ana Cristina has more than 17 years of experience in the M&A practice, having represented major private equity funds, national and multinational corporations, as well as family businesses and start-ups in all their commercial and corporate matters including buyouts, sales, financing, joint ventures or capitalization transactions among many others. She specializes in the areas of Corporate Law, Commercial Law and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Throughout her career Ana Cristina has also served as a Legal Manager in two companies in different sectors, so she knows first-hand what it is like to be a client and focuses her practice on providing the best attention to her clients’ needs by seeking prompt, practical and timely service.
Ana Cristina is admitted to practice in Colombia (since 2004) and in the State of New York (since 2008), and has been a mentor in several entrepreneurship programs, including Endeavor training programs.
She is a Magna Cum Laude lawyer from Universidad De Los Andes, holds a Masters in Business Administration from Imperial College Business School, as well as an LLM from Harvard Law School. Previously, in addition to being an associate and senior associate at Gómez-Pinzón, she was general counsel at Merqueo, partner at Norton Rose Fulbright, principal associate and co-director at Garrigues, manager of government affairs at Drummond Ltd, as well as international associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton Llp.
