Gonzalo Gandara joins Burr & Forman to lead Latin America legal business

Burr & Forman has announced the appointment of Gonzalo A. Gandara (pictured) as international legal business manager for Latin America. Based in Orlando, Gandara will drive business development and nearshoring initiatives between Latin America and the United States, supporting clients with cross-border interests and facilitating legal services across both regions.

Gandara brings significant experience in corporate law, having previously worked at leading Argentine law firms on local and international M&A transactions and daily business matters. He served as a law clerk at Burr & Forman in Orlando from 2020 to 2023, focusing on corporate and real estate matters for a diverse client base, including healthcare providers and banks.

Most recently, Gandara coordinated the company law department at Allende & Brea in Argentina, where he managed a team of attorneys and played a pivotal role in establishing the first company in Latin America with stock capital in cryptocurrencies, contributing to the evolution of local regulations.

Ty Roofner, managing partner of Burr & Forman’s Orlando office, said Gandara’s background and experience will increase the services Burr can provide to clients with interests in Latin America, as well as Latin American clients with interests in the US.

Gandara’s legal career was inspired by his grandfather, a lawyer in Buenos Aires. He is recognized for his ability to build lasting client relationships and collaborate with business professionals and lawyers to advance business interests.
