Graça Couto advises Zig on the acquisition of Superticket

Graça Couto Advogados advised Zig, a Brazilian technology and payment solutions company on the acquisition of the 100% of equity interest in Superticket, a leader in the ticket sales business, from its founders, in a share-swap deal.

The deal value was not disclosed.

The transaction marks the entrance of Zig in the ticket sales industry, forming a new company named Zig Tickets, with a challenge to escalate market sales by using the synergy between Zig payment solutions and Superticket events portfolio.

Founded in Espirito Santo, Brazil, Superticket operates exclusively with small and medium-sized events and concerts. The startup has already sold more than 2 million tickets for 3,000 events. As informed, at least in the short term, Zig Tickets will have its focus on smaller events. Zig, on the other hand, is already present in mega events, such as The Town, Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza.

Graça Couto Advogados relied on partners Natalie Sequerra (pictured left) and João Gustavo Santiago (pictured right); associate Amanda Baldacone.
