Granadeiro Guimarães Advogados announced the addition of Otavio Pinto e Silva (pictured), a lawyer in corporate labor advocacy in Brazil, to its team of partners. The incorporation of this distinguished professional reinforces the firm’s technical excellence, expanding its strategic approach to complex labor disputes.
An Associate Professor in the Department of Labor Law and Social Security at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) Law School, where he also served as President of the Undergraduate Committee and the Culture and University Extension Committee, the attorney has built a career marked by a strong commitment to the development of Labor Law in Brazil. With over three decades of experience, he was President of the Associação Brasileira de Advogados Trabalhistas (ABRAT) from 2020 to 2022 and actively participates in various legal entities, including the São Paulo Bar Association (OAB-SP), the Associação dos Advogados Trabalhistas de São Paulo (AATSP), and the Associação Luso-Brasileira de Juristas do Trabalho (JUTRA). His solid academic background includes a law degree, a master’s, a doctorate, and a postdoctoral qualification (livre-docência) from USP, along with international experience as a researcher at the Università degli Studi di Roma – Tor Vergata. Recognized for his contributions to the study of Labor Law, he is the author of numerous books and academic articles and serves on examination boards for judicial and postgraduate programs.
In addition to his academic work, he has extensive and widely recognized experience in corporate labor law, advising companies across various economic sectors on strategic and high-profile litigation, labor dispute management, complex and sensitive advisory matters, investigations and proceedings by the Public Labor Prosecutor’s Office, as well as union conflicts and collective bargaining negotiations.
