Greenberg Traurig advises Mexican construction manufacturer on obtaining $400m credit facility

Greenberg Traurig lawyers in Miami and Mexico City acted for Elementia on a $400 million unsecured revolving credit facility.

 

cementfactoryElementia, S.A.B. de C.V. is a Mexican manufacturer of building materials for the construction sector. The company is headquartered in Mexico City and listed in the Mexican stock exchange. 

Proceeds from the $400 million facility will be used for general corporate purposes.

The participating banks in the new revolving line of credit were BBVA Bancomer, BNP Paribas, Citibanamex, ING Bank, MUFG Bank, Scotiabank and Sumitomo Mitsui.

Partner Emilio J. Alvarez-Farré led the Greenberg Traurig team which included partners Juan Delgado and Carlos Garduño. Alvarez-Farré and Delgado are based in Miami while Garduño is based in Mexico City. The team, which advised Elementia, included lawyers based in both offices of the firm. 

Greenberg Traurig has more than 2,000 attorneys in 38 offices around the world. Mexico City remains its only outpost in Latin America.
