Gross Brown represents Abbeyfield and Sudameris in merger with Banco Regional
Paraguayan law firm Gross Brown has represented Abbeyfield Group and Sudameris Bank in their negotiations regarding the merger by absorption process with Banco Regional.
Through this transaction, Sudameris will absorb Banco Regional, thus becoming one of the largest banks in Paraguay, which will achieve its strategic growth and strengthening plans.
Ferrere represented Rabobank as majority shareholder of Banco Regional.
The merger is subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Paraguay, CONACOM and other relevant authorities.
Ferrere’s team included partners Nestor Loizaga and Carlos Codas Zavala, assisted by lawyers Manfred Heyn, Pamela Lezcano Sachelaridi, Fernanda Benitez Aguilera, Maurizio De Oliveira Lagoa, Yamina Beatriz Centurión Coronel, Marcelo David Sosa Velázquez, Hans Batscheck, Estefania Mendoza Murto and Martín Parra.
