GT Law represents CAS and Aldesa in $238.7m refinancing

Greenberg Traurig, through its Mexico City office, has represented Concesionaria de Autopistas del Sureste (CAS) and Aldesa, a construction group based in Mexico and Spain, in connection with a refinancing of approximately $4.6 billion Mexican pesos (USD $238.7 million).

The transaction was carried out through a bond bridge structure and in the subsequent debt tap for MX $5.2 billion (USD $269.8 million) represented by long term trust-bonds denominated in inflation-linked units, with Banco Santander acting as under.

CAS is a special purpose vehicle incorporated by Ainda, a Mexican private equity fund focused on the energy and infrastructure sectors in Mexico. CAS operates and maintains two highways in the state of Chiapas, Mexico: Arriaga-Ocozocoautla, 93 kilometres long, and Tuxtla Gutierrez-San Cristobal de las Casas, 46.5 kilometres long.
