Guarnera acts for PSC in Batz Brazil buyout

Brazilian-Italian firm Guarnera Advogados has assisted Prima Sole Components (PSC) in its acquisition of the Brazilian arm of Batz, a Spanish automotive components supplier.

The acquisition, the result of a complex negotiation, has consolidated Prima Sole Components’ presence in the sector of plastic components for cars, motorcycles and household appliances and has strengthened the company’s position as a reference in the international market, according to the law firm.

Guarnera Advogados’ M&A team was led by founding partner Giacomo Guarnera (pictured), with Anna Lucia Gonçalves and Marco Aurelio Cunha.

“This acquisition has confirmed the interest and vitality of Italian entrepreneurship for Brazil and it has been an even more important sign of positivity in such a delicate moment, as we are experiencing in recent weeks following the Covid-19 crisis,” Guarnera said.  

Prima Sole Components is active, nationally and internationally, in the production of components and systems in plastic and thermoplastic materials for trucks, commercial and agricultural vehicles, motorbikes and appliances, through five business units.  

Prima Sole Group’s purchase consolidates its presence in Brazil, after entering the country in 2015 with the establishment of PSMM, a company producing plastic components for the automotive sector, based in Gojana in Pernabuco state.
