Guerrero Olivos advises IACSA on $12m capital increase

Guerrero Olivos has assisted Agricultural and Commercial Investments in a capital increase of 12 million USD

Chilean law firm Guerrero Olivos has advised the food and beverage production company, agro-industrial arm of the Carozzi Group, Inversiones Agrícolas y Comerciales S.A., on a $12 million US dollars capital increase.

The transaction was closed on 9 July and was executed under new rules issued by the Financial Market Commission to simplify the registration process for a capital increase.

The funds will be used to finance the company’s business plan and to continue developing agricultural activities in order to make them compatible with the water and climate change problems faced in Chile.

Founded in 1926 and headquartered in San Bernardo, Chile, Inversiones Agrícolas y Comerciales S.A. is engaged in the production, distribution and marketing of food and agricultural products. It is a subsidiary of the Principality of Asturias, the legal successor of Industrias Alimenticias Carozzi S.A., and owner of Hacienda Chorombo S.A. and Bonafide S.A.I. y C.
