Guerrero Olivos advises Telefónica Chile on its sale of a stake
Guerrero Olivos has advised Telefónica Chile on the sale of a 70 per cent stake in InfraCo SpA to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts Alameda Aggregator
Assisted by Guerrero Olivos, Telefónica Chile has entered into a share purchase agreement with KKR Alameda Aggregator L.P., a vehicle controlled by funds managed by affiliates of KKR, for the sale of 60 per cent of the shares of InfraCo, SpA.
The transaction is valued at approximately $1 billion dollars and is expected to close in the first half of 2021, subject to competition authority approvals.
As part of the deal, Telefónica Chile will sell to InfraCo approximately two million fibre-optic real estate units. In addition, Telefónica Chile and InfraCo will enter into a series of agreements for the provision of various services, including an agreement for the provision of wholesale connectivity services over InfraCo’s fibre optic network to Telefónica Chile.
The company expects to complete 3.5 million units by 2022, representing more than half of Chilean households.
