Guerrero Olivos recruits senior counsel to tax practice
Chilean law firm Guerrero Olivos has recruited Alejandro Chechilnitzky as a senior counsel of the firm’s tax practice group, bringing his knowledge and experience to bolster the group’s performance.
Alejandro (pictured) previously held the position of senior manager at EY. A graduate in law from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, he also holds an LLM from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law; and a certificate in business administration from Kellogg School of Management.
He has also worked at PwC’s international tax services department in Chicago.
His incorporation into the tax team aims to strengthen this area to face the intense workload the firm has seen recently, Guerrero Olivos said.
The implementation of the 2014 and 2016 tax reforms, and the current discussion of the bill of law sent by the government to congress with new modifications along with the recent developments of the international tax rules, transfer pricing and taxation of the digital economy, have created the need for the team to grow in order to continue delivering an excellent service, it said.
