Guerrero Olivos represents CLIN’s investments in startups
Guerrero Olivos has represented Fondo de Inversión Privado CLIN (CLIN), a Chilean venture capital fund, on the follow-on of its investments in three startups: Wareclouds, Simpliroute, and Políglota.
The deals, which closed between November and December 2024, were structured as convertible loan agreements.
The startups operate in the logistics, last-mile delivery, and education technology sectors such as Wareclouds, represented by DLA Piper Chile; Simpliroute, which used in-house counsel; while Políglota was advised by ACU Abogados.
The advisory involved negotiating and drafting the convertible loan agreements and other complementary documents.
CLIN’s investments span both Chile and the United States. This latest round of funding aligns with its mission to support high-potential Chilean startups.
CLIN, which operates under Chile’s development agency Corfo, had to ensure compliance with specific program regulations through conditions included in the investment documents.
