Guerrero Olivos represents Xepelin in 230m financing

Guerrero Olivos has assisted Xepelin in Series A financing for a Chilean start-up for 230 million

 Guerrero Olivos has represented the Chilean startup Xepelin, in the initial financing rounds and the structuring of the corporate scheme for the creation of a financial services platform for SMEs in Latin America.

This transaction was closed on 30 July 2021, however, the firm continues to work on local and international financings funded from the US, where the company was established, as well as closing a landmark $230 million USD Series A financing for a Chilean start-up during the last week.

US firm Gunderson Dettmer advised the company in the US, while Carey and Aninat Abogados advised Manutara Ventures and Chile Venutres respectively.

Xepelin is a financing platform for SMEs in Latin America, founded in mid-2019 by Nicolás de Camino and Sebastian Kreis. The company has more than four thousand clients in Chile and Mexico, has lent more than $400m to SMEs in both countries, with an active loan portfolio of $120m and an asset-backed facility of more than $250m.
