Galvão Villani, Navarro e Zangiácomo Advogados announced the arrival of Salvador Cândido Brandão Junior (pictured), who served as a full member of the 3rd Section of the Administrative Tax Appeals Council (CARF) from May 2018 to September 2021.

He continues to act as Taxpayers’ Representative Judge at the Tax and Fee Court of SP (TIT/SP) and as Tax Law professor at the postgraduate program of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). He is also a member of the research group “Taxation and New Technologies” of the FGV’s Professional Master’s Program, and a member of the technical editorial board of the Journal of Contemporary Tax Law – RDTC, published by Revista dos Tribunais / Thomson Reuters.

Salvador is a highly qualified tax lawyer. Besides being a professor, he holds a master’s and doctorate in Tax Law from the University of São Paulo – USP and is the author of several articles and publications. His professional experience is focused on complex cases involving consultancy and administrative litigation in direct and indirect taxes at the federal, state, and municipal levels, in addition to consultations with the tax authorities, offsets, audits, and credit reviews of non-cumulative taxes.

Among his recently published articles are “Streaming service and its identification as a communication service”, “The immunity of phonograms and videophonograms and its application to streaming service” and co-authorship of the book “Taxation of the cloud”.
