H&Cía counsels Contugas on loan refinancing
Hernández & Cía. (Peru), Holland & Knight LLP (New York) and Mosquera Abogados (Colombia) have counselled Contugas, a leading natural gas distributor in Peru, on the refinancing of its syndicated corporate loan under New York law with a syndicate of banks led by BBVA Securities Inc.
The funds, disbursed on 24 September, will be used to refinance its existing corporate debt and for other corporate uses.
Other participating firms were Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, Posse Herrera Ruiz and Miranda & Amado, who acted as advisors to the banks in New York, Colombia and Peru, respectively.
Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (New York Branch), Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Bancolombia (Panama Branch), MUFG Bank, The Bank of Nova Scotia, Banco de Bogotá (Panama), Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior (BLADEX) and Itau Chile (New York Branch) acted as lenders. BLADEX also acted as administrative agent; BBVA Securities as lead arranger and bookrunner; and Grupo Energía Bogotá and Transportadora de Gas Internacional as guarantors.
