HD boosts cybersecurity and data protection practice with Juan Pablo González
HD Group has announced the appointment of Juan Pablo González Gutiérrez (pictured) as the new director of its personal data protection, cybersecurity, and new technologies practice area. This strategic move enhances the firm’s expertise surrounding data protection and cybersecurity.
Juan Pablo González brings experience in technological regulation, information security, compliance, and risk management. His career spans leadership roles in both public and private sectors, including his tenure as head of legal affairs at the cybersecurity coordination unit under Chile’s Undersecretary of the Interior.
He has also held senior positions at Deloitte and NTT DATA in risk & compliance and cybersecurity, respectively. Additionally, he led the data privacy & security practice at Assertiv and serves as director of the diploma in technology and regulation at Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD).
González has been instrumental in shaping public policies related to cybersecurity and data protection in Chile. His extensive experience includes adapting organizations to new technological regulations, implementing compliance programs, and fostering collaborations between regulatory frameworks and business operations.
