Hernández & Cía advises Fondo MiVivienda on S/350M financing
Hernández & Cía. has advised Fondo MiVivienda in a medium-term sustainable financing transaction with Scotiabank Peru, for an amount of up to S/ 350 million (approximately USD 96 million).
The transaction was disbursed in June 2025 and is part of Fondo MiVivienda’s sustainable financing strategy to continue promoting access to mortgage loans in Peru and to substantially contribute to closing the housing gap in the country.
The loan was structured as an unsecured facility, given that Fondo MiVivienda is a state-owned company, and involved the negotiation of financial clauses and disbursement conditions tailored to the borrower’s financing needs and internal policies.
Hernández & Cía was the advisor of the borrower and was led by partner Juan Luis Hernández, senior associate Andrea Limón, and associate Luciana Quintana.
The firm Miranda & Amado also worked in the transaction; the firm was the advisor of the lender, and was led by partner Juan Luis Avendaño and associate Maria Fernanda Tamayo.
