Hernández & Cía strengthens its restructuring and insolvency practice with Gerardo Guzmán

Hernández & Cía. has announced the addition of Gerardo Guzmán (pictured) as counsel, bringing over 20 years of expertise in bankruptcy law. Gerardo will join the Restructuring and Insolvency practice, where his extensive experience is set to further enhance Hernández & Cía.’s value proposition and service offering to clients.

Gerardo holds a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and an LL.M. in Law and Economics from Queen Mary University of London. He has built a strong international practice over the course of his career, with experience at prestigious firms such as Kirkland & Ellis in New York and Galicia Abogados in Mexico. In Peru, he has led the insolvency practice at leading firms including Rubio Leguía Normand and BBGS Abogados, among others.

In addition,  professor of the Financial Law course in the Master of International Law at the PUCP and of the Wealth Restructuring course at ESAN Graduate School of Business.
