HNaves has a new partner and opens a new area
HNaves Advogados, a boutique law firm focused on finance and capital markets, has introduced a new partner: Fernanda Fischer Casagrande (pictured), who will head the firm’s new compliance, risk management and investigations area.
With more than 12 years’ experience in the legal profession, Fernanda’s previous experience includes executive positions in the legal departments of large companies and as a lawyer at renowned law firms, with a special focus on the advisory area involving criminal and compliance issues.
Among other services, the new area will focus on designing, implementing, reviewing and monitoring anti-money laundering, regulatory and anti-corruption compliance programs, mapping and managing legal and operational risks, assisting companies in obtaining certifications such as Pró-Ética and Selo Mais Integridade, assisting clients in managing their third parties, helping to set up whistleblowing channels and an ethics hotline, providing support for crisis management and coordinating internal investigations, analyzing and classifying risks related to ESG aspects and conducting training and actions to disseminate a culture of integrity in the corporate environment.
With a first degree in Economic Criminal Law from FGV-SP and a specialist in Financial Criminal Law and Compliance from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, Fernanda is the Deputy Coordinator of Compliance and Corporate Governance at the Escola Superior de Advocacia do Rio de Janeiro (ESA RJ) and a member of the Center for Integrity and Development Studies (CEID) of the Instituto Não Aceito Corrupção and the Compliance Women Committee (CWC) in São Paulo.
